About us
For more than 30 years the European Youth Parliament in Germany has
been offering young people a space to actively engage with social
questions, to develop visions of shaping Europe in the future, and
to discuss these with others. The format of extended parliamentary
simulations allows our participants to experience European politics
in a non-partisan context. For our educational work on European
politics we have been awarded the Theodor-Heuss-Medaille and
the European Citizens’ Prize. The European Youth Parliament is run by
volunteers between the ages of 16 and 26 for young people who
are also between the ages of 16 and 26. We, thus, contribute to
the promotion of an active engagement with European issues. The
European Youth Parliament in Germany engages 1200 young people
each year and together with the network of the European Youth
Parliament we reach over 34 000 people in 40 countries per year.
