Scientists gather in the European City of Science 2022
The Lorentz Center in Leiden, hosted a one-week workshop “Algorithmic Technology for Democracy” from October 10 to October 14, 2022. Scientists from all over Europe discussed digital democracy, social networks, algorithmic fairness, social influence, argumentation, and collective intelligence.
The scientific organizers were Davide Grossi (University of Groningen and University of Amsterdam), Ulrike Hahn (Birkbeck College London), Michael Maes (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), and Andreas Nitsche (Interaktive Demokratie, Berlin). The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIAS) sponsored the workshop.
